Game 1: West Tigers vs Newcastle Knights

Friday 6:00pm AEST

Newcastle field the same team as last week except for the huge loss of Kalyn Ponga, with Tex Hoy filling in for him. The Tigers are missing new winger Zac Cini and hooker Jake Simpkin, but luckily Tommy Talau returns on the wing and Jocab Liddle goes to hooker. The Tiger’s coach also swapped Adam Doueihi from five-eighth to centre with Moses Mbye going to five-eighth. The model ranks the Knights and the Tigers equally, with the Tigers having a huge 2nd half advantage as well. With the injury to Kalyn Ponga, it's a good chance to get the Tigers at some underdog money, with some 1st first half 2nd half action.

Bet tips: • Tigers +2.5 Line at $2.00 on Neds - 55% chance

                 • Multi - Tigers +4.5 Line and Knights +6.5 1st Half Line and Tigers +2.5 2nd Half Line at $3.5 on Sportsbet - 32% chance

Game 2: Brisbane Broncos vs Manly Sea Eagles

Friday 8:05pm AEST

Broncos lose captain Patrick Carrigan to an ACL injury, with John Asiata replacing him. The Broncos get back to their home ground advantage that we talk so much about, however this time there might be more Manly fans due to Magic round, and the Broncos are actually in the away sheds for this game. The model ranks the Broncos below Manly heavily in form and slightly overall, but the Broncos are ranked ahead of Manly in home games, so this game could be closer than people think. The Sea Eagles have a good 2nd half advantage over the Broncos with the 1st half closer to equal.

Bet tips: • Multi - Broncos +20.5 1st Half Line and Sea Eagles -4.5 2nd Half Line and Sea Eagles +17.5 Line at $2.05 on Sportsbet - 60% chance

                 • Multi - Broncos +4.5 1st Half Line and Sea Eagles -4.5 2nd Half Line at $3.8 on Sportsbet - 32% chance

Game 3: Canterbury Bulldogs vs Canberra Raiders

Saturday 3:00pm AEST

No Corey Allan and Lachlan Lewis for the Bulldogs, but they do get back Dylan Napa. Raiders lose Jordan Rapana and Joseph Tapine, but Josh Hodgson and Dunamis Lui do make a return. The two worst teams in the league on form, the Raiders had a good start to the season but then fell off while the Bulldogs have been consistently bad. The Raiders are the worst 2nd half team in the comp on form, which is what we’ll be going after.

Bet tips: • Multi - Raiders H2H and Raiders -1.5 1st Half Line and Bulldogs +8.5 2nd half Line at $3.14 on Sportsbet - 40% chance

Game 4: Cronulla Sharks vs South Sydney Rabbitohs

Saturday 5:30pm AEST

The Sharks lose centre Jesse Ramien who gets directly replaced by Josh Dugan, also Andrew Fifita finally gets a return. Adam Reynolds is back from his hand injury for the Rabbitohs, replacing Dean Hawkins. The Sharks have been lost ever since they fired their head coach and they don’t have a good away record either, despite this game being played at a neutral venue. The Rabbitohs have a huge 2nd half advantage over the Sharks.

Bet tips: • Rabbitohs -4.5 2nd Half Line at $1.97 on Sportsbet - 58% chance

Game 5: Sydney Roosters vs North QLD Cowboys

Saturday 7:45pm AEST

Roosters are missing Drew Hutchinson with a 50/50 chance of losing Sam Walker as well, but they do get back Sitili Tupouniua. The Cowboys are unchanged. Both Teams prefer the second half. No value on either side.

Bet tips: No Bets

Game 6: New Zealand Warriors vs Parramatta Eels

Sunday 1:50pm AEST

Warriors get back Ben Murdoch-Masila and Euan Aitken while the Eels lose Dylan Brown and Marata Niukore to suspension, but they do get back Waqa Blake and Nathan Brown. The model ranks the Eels ahead of the Warriors, but the 1st half is a bit closer and the Eels are very heavily ranked above them in the 2nd half.

Bet tips: • Eels -4.5 2nd Half Line at $2.00 on Neds - 59% chance

Game 7: Melbourne Storm vs St-George Dragons

Sunday 4:05pm AEST

Melbourne are missing 3 star players in Cameron Munster, Harry Grant and Brandon Smith, but injured Ryan Papenhuyzen could make a return. The Dragons get back Mikaele Ravalawa and possibly Cody Ramsey. The model ranks Storm well above the Dragon however with the injuries the Dragons could be some good value at $5.75, but I’m leaving it alone.

Bet tips: No Bets

Game 8: Gold Coast Titans vs Penrith Panthers

Sunday 6:25pm AEST

Both teams are missing their back rowers in David Fifita for the Titans and Kurt Capewell for the Panthers. The model ranks the Panthers ahead of the Titans, but similar to the Eels game the Titans could be a threat in the first half, then the Panthers have a huge advantage in the second half.

Bet tips: • Panthers -10.5 2nd Half Line at $1.94 on Neds - 56% chance
